Building Body

The paradox of acquiring the facade of extreme muscular development and strength achieved through means which damage and weaken the body was the inspiration behind ‘Building Body’. The use and abuse of steroids in the body building community prompted Paddy’s investigation into anatomy and muscle structure. This culminated in a series of satirical ceramic ‘trophies’ which are themselves as fragile as the ‘enhanced’ human form on which they are based.
